Dr. George N. Panayiotou, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Doctor of Audiology

 

Larnaca Audiology Center is proud to emply the only Dr. CLINICAL Audiologist in the area.  Dr. George Panayiotou, AuD. has been educated and extensively trained in the United States of America.  Dr. Panayiotou earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University and a Doctoral degree from East Tennessee State University.  He graduated with honors from the undergaduate program and top of his class from the doctoral program. 

Dr. Panayiotou has been extensively trained in various hearing health care related settings in the United States.  He has studied under and worked with Dr. Karl Horn M.D., a world renowned surgeon neuro-otologist who performed the first cochlear implantation in the history of India. 

Dr. Panayiotou holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiolgy (CCC-A) from the American Speech- Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is a fellow in good standing with the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH)(UK).  He speaks Greek and English very fluently.

Greek Words-In-Noise: A pilot study:  Initiated and implemented the project justification, methodology, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Intra- and Inter-Session Test, Retest Reliability of the Words-in-Noise (WIN) Test: Identification, selection and recruitment of test subjects, data collection and analysis.

A Comparison of Recognition Performances in Speech-Spectrum Noise by Listeners with Normal Hearing on PB-50, CID W-22, NU No. 6, W-1 Spondaic Words, and Monosyllabic Digits Spoken by the Same Speaker.  Identification, selection and recruitment of subjects, data collection and analysis.
